A/N: Oh God, I cannot believe I've written this.
She sees the relief and joy in their eyes, barely masked by the clichéd words of sympathy they offer. The Essex girl in her longs to smack that smug look right off Simona’s face. But she’s better than that, so she accepts their platitudes with decorum.
Only when her eyes land on Siobhan does she see genuine sadness. Her own smile falters and she walks away from the others, who barely notice. Siobhan wipes away tears as she approaches. She takes the girl in her arms and holds her close, allowing her own tears to fall for the first time.
There will be no more stolen kisses waiting for Zoe to show up for rehearsals. No more sitting in Siobhan’s lap while Craig goes over the new dance routine. No more giggling and ssshhing in the dark as they try desperately not to wake Leanne up.
She gently pulls Siobhan up off her shoulder and wipes away a tear with her thumb. Looking into the face that turned David Ian into a quivering adolescent, she decides that she doesn’t care any more. She slowly leans in, giving Siobhan plenty of scope to stop her. She doesn’t.
Their lips meet and she’s dimly aware of the sudden silence in the room. Siobhan’s hand tangles in her hair, a hint of desperation fuelling the kiss. She draws it to an end but keeps her face against Siobhan’s as she whispers to her.
“You’re the best one here, so you make sure that you fucking win this thing and show the lot of ‘em, darlin’.”
She pulls back enough to see Siobhan’s eyes, to make sure she understands. Siobhan nods, fresh tears making their way down her cheeks.
She glances at the shocked faces around the room before returning her gaze to Siobhan. She laces their fingers together and turns to head out the door, pulling Siobhan behind her. The others will talk anyway, this she knows, might as well give them something to talk about.
When they return an hour later, it’s with dishevelled hair and kiss-bruised lips.

Maybe I'll finally go over the edge and write Survivor slash this year.

Date: 2006-09-03 08:42 am (UTC)Well, I'm nothing if not weird. To be honest, I would never have even thought of HDYSAPLM had someone not requested that I write Zoe/Siobhan slash. (which is an even weirder pairing, no?) I jokingly wrote back 'I couldn't write that, maybe I could attempt Siobhan/Meliz'. Which then meant that I had to write it. And Siobhan looked so sad when Meliz went.
So, what are your thoughts on the girls thus far on the show?
PS Just got my Season 3 Charlie's Angels DVDs and am currently watching Kris wrestle an alligator. I love this show.
