I angsted myself out a bit. It was very difficult to do with Inara and Kaylee. It would've been so much easier to have a lovely, happy reunion. (The non-response to 'hey you' was so very hard to do)
I thought I'd leave the ending open. So that people could go AU if they want. I was going to write Inara seeing Simon and Kaylee getting it on, but that was far too traumatic for me.
