Never fear, I have read all of the books. I too have people who are reading along with the show and, as such, I cannot comment fully on characters/storylines for fear of spoiling them. I wasn't going to read the books, mostly because they were so thick, but then I decided that I would read the first one. Five books later I stopped reading because there were no more books.
I love Brienne and Jaime in the books and I cannot wait to see that onscreen. They are my BrOTP. Much like Cara and Richard are my BrOTP. Except I also ship Cara and Richard sexually. So, not exactly the same.
I can see where you're coming from, with their looks leading you to believe they might not cut it as warriors. But they do indeed kick ass believably. Kahlan in particular looks like she's good and sturdy and could do a bit of damage if she wanted. There's an interview where Bridget talks about how she learned to fight with knives at drama school and she was like 'When am I ever going to be cast in something where I need to have a knife fight?' Fate.
I cannot imagine why 'sexonastick' would freak people out. I located your tumblr. I see you like Downton and/or Michelle Dockery. Well done. I also assume that you like football. Yes, that's what it's called. I'm not saying 'soccer'.
