This was adorable from every angle. Zedd having the last 'word', so to speak, when he's usually such a cockblocker was a delightful surprise.
I really loved everything about it. Cara using the safety and distance afforded by the journeybook, and Kahlan realizing that's what Cara was doing and then calling her on it, only to let her off the hook, only to have Cara summon her courage to honestly speak to Kahlan. Little steps for Cara, first the journeybook, then speaking to Kahlan as she's facing away from Cara, then a direct pledge of her love - awwwww!
You're such a good writer that I can *hear* their voices in your words, and the entire scene and the different inflections of "No" then "Yes" about Cara falling off her horse was a riot. And Richard being okay with it and then everything being fluffy - WIN!
