It will be a happy day indeed when I can do canon past 'OiS'. I was so worried for Kaylee in that ep. And I finally figured out the appeal of River. Other than a couple of moments in a handful of eps, I didn't really get her. But I loved her in this.

I was turning ideas over in my head, and while I firmly believe that Inara wants the other two and they both want her, I can't really see Mal and Kaylee as a pair. I have read some fics with them as a threesome which worked, but I don't think I could pull it off with any degree of success.
After a week she stopped pretending that it was Mal she wanted. - as much as I love Inara/Mal I really love this line. - That was one of the first lines I wrote.
