For the record, I accept "hey, this is awesome and you are awesome" type comments too, but I do love when folks point out what worked for them etc. So, yay!
what really makes Cara AMAZING as a character is that when she admits to feeling something it's almost impossible for the reader not to feel something too - YES. Even when she doesn't admit it, but her face shows that she's having a feeling, the viewer reacts. The struggle on her face in the finale when she had that arrow trained on Kahlan's back. That kills me. Kills me dead.
And she's RIGHT. It's something about her hair. - ISN'T IT, THOUGH? I may have projected through Cara a little on that front. My bias towards the emo!Kahlan are well documented. And I love that your thoughts on emo!Kahlan come back to her mouth ;)
ETA: This may also be why I ended up writing the emo!Cara in Asunder, and had a lot of trouble with the duty!Cara.
I'm glad that knowing the characters a bit better gave you a slightly different viewpoint of this little thing.
GET A SEEKER ICON!!! (On this subject, I find it increasingly difficult to find icons these days. They used to be everywhere, but it feels like nobody's making them anymore because LJ is being used less or something. Sad times.)
