OK, still very behind on LJ. Still haven't read any fic or done anything remotely constructive. But hey, here's a meme!

1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn your music player on and turn it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble/ficlet related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it’s over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.

This is my fourth time doing this one. (Previous attempts: Rachel/Quinn | Naomi/Emily | Veronica/Meg)

But this is for [livejournal.com profile] voodoochild_101 because she is my Glitter girlfriend and is having withdrawals.

These are all Emma/Terri (with hints of Will/Emma/Terri thrown in for good measure.) They are also heavily based on the Glitter versions of Emma and Terri. JSYK.

Somethin’ Stupid – Robbie Williams & Nicole Kidman

You didn’t plan to say it first. You didn’t plan to say it at all, for a while at least. And if it had to be you who said it first, it should at least have been in some romantic setting, or to get something you wanted. Not unprompted, spontaneously, one random morning. You could’ve kicked yourself when you heard those three little words slip past your lips and escape into the ether. It’s her fault. She does something to you that seems to block your internal filter and turns you into this gooey sap who constantly wants to talk about your feelings. Or kiss her. Maybe it’s all the red hair?

Oh well, at least she said it back.

Sunshine – S Club 7

Will always said that he was drawn to you because you were filled with joy. He said that it practically radiated from you. Somewhere along the line, that joy faded and almost fizzled out. But she’s brought it back. It’s like she’s awaked something in you that was asleep. She’s brought warmth and light back to you. She makes you happy. You thought Will did, but he didn’t. Not like she does. It feels like things can only get better. She’s your sunshine.

My Heart has a mind of its own – Connie Francis

She’s always been a romantic at heart. She always pictured herself being swept away by a grand love affair and married in a beautiful dress. When she met Will Schuester, he seemed so perfect, except for the fact that he was unattainable. He was married so she would just have to pine away for him at a safe distance. Which she was fine with. She settled for that. Then Terri Schuester blew into her life and suddenly her head wasn’t doing the thinking anymore.

She tries to tell herself that it could never work, that she doesn’t want it to work. But then the memory of their kisses flood her mind and stamp out any reason she can come up with to fight it.

She tries to tell herself that Terri is just playing with her, that it can’t be real. But Terri’s words, Terri’s eyes, Terri’s touch, tell her otherwise.

The Show – Girls Aloud

Emma comes home from school one summer evening after SAT prep, tired and in need of a long shower. The grime of the day is making her skin crawl and she can’t wait to wash it away. She drops her bag in the hallway and heads in to get a cool drink first. All thoughts of showering leave her head as she enters the kitchen to find Terri, leaning back against the counter, dressed in a pink bra and matching panties.

Emma’s eyes trail over Terri’s body and she feels her own flare in response. She drags her eyes back up to meet Terri’s, the infuriatingly knowing smirk only adding to her arousal.

“Aren’t you gonna say hello?” Terri asks, her voice low.

Emma’s mouth opens but nothing comes out. Terri’s smirk becomes a smile.

“Nice to know I still have an effect on you. C’mere.”

Emma walks forward, her hands automatically going to Terri’s hips as her mouth seeks Terri’s out. Terri’s arms wind around her waist, pulling her closer as the kiss deepens. Terri pulls away and starts to kiss along Emma’s jaw and down her neck. Emma pushes her away half-heartedly, even as she tilts her head to give her better access.

“Don’t...I’m...I’m all dirty,” she protests.

She feels Terri smile against her neck, Terri’s eyelashes brushing her cheek like a butterfly.

“I like it when you’re dirty.”

We’ve got tonight – Kenny Rogers & Sheena Easton

It’s just one night. That’s what she tells herself. She owes him that at least. And it’s not cheating. He’s her husband. They’ve slept together hundreds of times.

He’s so familiar and comforting. She fits in his arms perfectly and when he holds her she feels like she’s come home.

But even as he’s shuddering on top of her and she’s crying out, she knows he’s not what she wants. And that she’ll feel awful about this in the morning.

Sometimes when we touch – Bonnie Tyler

You’ve never been as raw with anyone as you are with her. You’ve never let anyone see as much as she sees. And she’s still here. It amazes you and frightens you at the same time. The way she listens to you and holds you and cradles your face in her hands when you cry, how she won’t let you close your eyes and hide...the way she gets you.

The feelings you have for her overwhelm you sometimes and you almost want to drive her away to stop yourself from turning into this weak person. Then you look in her eyes and you can’t do it and you end up in bed, worshipping her body because it’s the only way you can show her how much she means to you.

You lay together afterwards, tangled around each other and, for a while, the fear goes away.

Over the rainbow – Martina McBride

Emma’s favourite movie is ‘The Wizard of Oz’. She insists that you watch it with her one Saturday afternoon, despite your protests about it being a kids movie, and that the munchkins freak you out. You relent because you figure at the very least it means you’ll get to fool around with her on the couch a little during the movie. It becomes clear when she slaps your hand away as you subtly slide it towards her breast that this is not going to be an option. Instead she watches the whole thing in rapt fascination, never removing her eyes from the screen until Dorothy has learned that there is, in fact, no place like home. When it’s finally over, she turns to you and leans in to place a chaste kiss on your mouth before sitting back and smiling at you.

“You know...” she starts, reaching out to trace her thumb over your eyebrow. “This is the first time I’ve watched this movie and haven’t felt wistful at the end. I guess that must mean I’m home.”

Maybe you don’t hate the movie as much as you thought.

Crazy for you – Madonna

There was a time that Emma would have happily called Terri Schuester crazy. Clinically insane. Possibly psychotic. She can barely remember feeling that way. All she can think of these days when she looks at Terri is how deeply in love she is with her.

Like now, on the dancefloor at Will and April’s wedding, surrounded by dozens of other couples, all she can see is Terri. She lets her body sag against Terri’s, her nose pressed against Terri’s cheek as they sway gently. Terri’s hands slide down her back and she does nothing to stop them as they come to rest on her backside. She pulls back slightly and brushes her lips against Terri’s.

Maybe they’re both a little crazy.

Take a Chance on me – Abba

How Emma Pillsbury went from competing with Terri for Will’s affections, to competing with Will for Terri’s affections is beyond her. But that’s exactly what she’s doing. Sometimes she thinks it’s pointless. She’s up against sixteen years of history and familiarity. But she can’t let go.

She doesn’t fight dirty. It’s not in her nature. She’d never badmouth Will or try to score points against him. Instead she’s just herself. And it seems to work. Terri opens up to her. Terri says ‘I love you’...first. Terri asks her on a date. Terri can’t seem to get enough of her.

When Terri finally chooses her she can barely believe it, because she doesn’t feel like she did anything different, to win. But she’s got Terri, and she’s not complaining.

Years from now – Dr Hook

Somehow, when you look at her, you just know that this is going to be forever. With Will it was never like this. You were always so sure that he was going to leave you. But it’s different with Emma and you’re not sure why. But there’s this absolute certainty in your mind that in ten years, twenty years, you’ll still want her, and you’ll still love her and that you’ll still hold her. And that’s the best feeling you’ve ever had.
