“Uh huh. Are you freaking out?”
“No. I’m thinking that Meg’s a nice kid and that I don’t need to worry about teenage pregnancy.”
“True. Meg and I are thinking of adopting.”
“That’s nice, honey.”
“Probably from Asia. That’s all the rage these days”
“Well, I like their food.”
Veronica rolled her eyes and walked over to place a kiss on her father’s head.
“Goodnight, Dad.”
“G’night honey.”
Veronica paused at the door to her room.
“You’re pretty cool, you know that right?”
He looked over at her and grinned.
“Daddy Cool. That’s me.”
