In the spirit of this crackfic, I had to share this with you. I found this lovely Marriage Law Challenge on LJ:

"A compulsory marriage law has just been passed by the governing body of the area in which your characters reside/are visiting/whatever. It declares that no single character is allowed to remain unmarried, under pain of death/mutilation/banishment/slaps with a trout/etc."
