Bridget should be in everything. That is my assessment. I think she'd have been brilliant as Asha (provided she could pull off a convincing accent, because, for my money, Peter Dinklage cannot and it takes me out of the scene at times). I'm like you, I don't hate the version of Asha/Yara that we've been presented with. I think she has the right attitude for the character. But I had a very different picture in my head.
Yeah, I'm sad about Margaery. My friend said to me that Margaery is her new favourite character (this is a friend who is going to read each book after the season it corresponds to) and I'm dying to tell her that at this point in the book, we'd still think Margarey was sweet and innocent, and it's only later that we'll realise that she's Cersei in disguise. Incidentally, I had pictured Margaery as more of a brunette Aphrodite from Xena. Cuddly and sweet. I really like Natalie Dormer, but I think her facial features naturally lend themselves to slyness and cunning. So even without the hugely obvious dialogue, I'd probably still suspect that she was planning something underhand. ;)
The books have the advantage of being able to fill the space with internal thoughts/feelings. So we are more invested in these characters who, on the surface, are mostly awful. I didn't particularly like Cat when I watched season 1, but I liked her in the book, and as the books went on, I grew to adore her.
"Oh, I hope Tyrion's okay, but I assume he will be." - This is a completely separate matter, but that sentence made me think of something else. For me, this is one of the downfalls of the book series. The fact that Tyrion has improbably survived so many dire situations. There's peril everywhere in the asoiaf series and other characters are cut down like summer grass at regular intervals, but Tyrion is unkillable. Duels, battles, fire, drowning...nothing can touch him. I feel no tension whenever anything happens to Tyrion.
Though I cannot see her full face in your icon, I can get an idea of where you are coming from on the Brienne thoughts.
