there are many awesome River moments - Yes, there are. I think I was too busy falling in love with everybody else to notice much more than all the craziness first time around. But rewatching definitely helps with the River-love.

I don't think I'll ever be able to write any threesome. - I've tried it a couple of times but it's difficult to think of a believable scenario for a threesome. It's not like I've ever met anybody in that sort of arrangement that I could base it on. At least that I know of.
