Dear femslash11 author,

I'm going to steal most of the content of this letter from one of my past letters, because I am amusingly consistent in my preferences, if not my pairings. So, I'll tell you what I like in general, and then maybe try to let you know a bit more specifically for each pairing.

I like established relationship fics. I like happy fics. I like funny fics. I am not opposed to a bit of angst, but I like happy endings. If you are feeling cracky, then I will take a Wild West AU in any of the fandoms I named. (And then I will offer to have your children.)

I like fics that are based on the source material. That's the stupidest thing I've ever written, cuz, duh, it's fan fiction. What I mean is that I like fics that take episodes and put a slant on them, or subvert them, or jump off from the end and continue them. I hope that makes more sense.

You don't have to take any of the following into consideration. Do your own thing.

Legend of the Seeker: Cara/Kahlan

This is my favourite pairing at the moment. I would love you forever if you wrote me Cara/Kahlan. Something happy would be lovely. They so rarely get to be happy for a whole fic.

Glee: Emma Pillsbury/Terri Schuester

Yeah, I know, sorry. If you're a Glee writer you probably write Faberry or Brittana. I apologise. But these two are my Glee femslash OTP and there's no getting away from it. I like the idea of them helping each other get through their issues.

Game of Thrones: Daenerys Targaryen/Doreah, Cersei Lannister/Daenerys Targaryen

If I'm honest, I really would prefer Dany/Doreah (although the awesomeness of Dany/Cersei does call out to me on some level). But I love how protective Dany and Doreah are of each other.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age: Elizabeth I/Bess Throckmorton

This relationship in the movie intrigues me hugely. Obviously Elizabeth is living vicariously through Bess, but there's probably also a degree of narcissism, and also genuine affection in there somewhere. I'd love to see it explored.

RPF (Girls Aloud): Cheryl Cole/Nadine Coyle

If you know enough about Girls Aloud to be able to write these two, then you're probably wondering why Cheryl/Nadine and not Cheryl/Kim, right? Well, just because I can. I don't know. Cheryl/Nadine have always been my Girls Aloud OTP, and I think all the 'they hate each other' 'nadine thinks cheryl is talentless' stuff makes me ship them more.
