Richard would have been convinced that she had ordered her body not to sweat in case it somehow slowed their journey. Bahahaha. I'm glad you like that. I'm also glad that the_girl_20 writing about ducks for me made you happy!
You really seized on the opportunity that Cara's past presented as a source of pain to a more vulnerable Cara. You are right about the show - heart!Kahlan should have been more than just a little off. She should have worried about the people that she had killed and confessed.
I think it was 1x10 that had Kahlan make a promise to Richard, then blatantly break that promise later in the episode because she judged it needed to be done. I loved the (maybe unintentional) mirror of that here. (How strange that I apparently consider breaking promises to be a positive character trait.) I like your take on positive character traits!!!! I wish I could tell you that I'd intentionally mirrored that episode but let's go with the fact that I did it subconsciously and make me sound smarter ;) All I know is that I was determined that Kahlan would confess Cara and that this would happened after having promised her she would never do so.
I really appreciated that you didn't shy away from the dark undertones that an untempered Mord-Sith Cara would so obviously present; it would have been noticeable, I feel, had you omitted them out of a desire not to offend. So, great choice and much respect. Thank you so, so, so much. I worked hard on my Cara. I know she is not as fun as the emotional one but a lot of thought went into her. I will admit that when I would sent the_girl_20 the scenes I had written I would worry what she would think of me but if we were going to have a bad!Cara she really did need to be bad.
