When his hands touch her, she closes her eyes and wishes.

She wishes those hands were softer, surer. She wishes his lips were full and tasted of spices, not thin and vaguely disinfectant flavoured. She wants him to whisper to her about exciting worlds and glamorous people. Instead he is silent, save for the occasional moan which he stifles, embarrassed by his lust. She longs for soft curves and smooth skin but gets hard planes and jutting bones. She needs vibrant reds and golds, not dull greys and blacks.

She wishes she were in the shuttle, having her hair brushed.

So this was posted first and so I started here but I read them all before commenting (yay for your new found Firefly love and yay for fics for me to read!!!!). This one is still my favourite. I love the comparisions between Inara and Simon and I love the simplicity of her wish in the last line - She wishes she were in the shuttle, having her hair brushed.. I also love that it's 100 words!!!!
